First Presbyterian Church is offering a four-week workshop, "The Power of Forgiveness," beginning 11:30 a.m. Jan. 9. Ron Ellison, director of Social Services for Hospice of Midland, will be the facilitor. Lunch will be served at the cost of $5. The Fetzer Institute as part of its Campaign for Love and Forgiveness and The John Templeton Foundation funded The Power of Forgiveness, from Journey Films, founded in 1983, by documentary filmmaker Martin Doblmeier (email) His television and film production company specializes in spirituality, history and social issueswhich have have aired on PBS, ABC, NBC, the BBC, The History Channel and other networks. The Poughkeepsie Forgiveness Project partners with The Garden of Forgiveness to offer workshops on forgiveness with Dr. Fred Luskin. These events also included an observance of the International Day of Forgiveness and groundbreaking for the Hudson Valley "Path to Forgiveness." Garden of Forgiveness co-chairs, Rev. Harris and Dr. Luskin, together with the Poughkeepsie Forgiveness Project honored J.
