POWER OF FORGIVENESS SCREENING FOR VIRGINIA TECH COMMUNITY:

"The Lyric had a free showing and panel discussion of this film, featuring Martin Doblmeier, Azim Khamisa and Lyndon Harris. (flier) There had been a potluck with the panel open to the public, but the RSVP date was two days before I received the invitiation from the activist listserve at Virginia Tech.

I was left with the question: how does this apply to the victims of an ongoing assault for which the agressor has great power and no sense of regret--such as MTR or war...

The Fetzer Institute as part of its Campaign for Love and Forgiveness and The John Templeton Foundation funded The Power of Forgiveness, from Journey Films, founded in 1983, by documentary filmmaker Martin Doblmeier (email) His television and film production company specializes in spirituality, history and social issueswhich have have aired on PBS, ABC, NBC, the BBC, The History Channel and other networks. Journey's first theatrical release was Bonhoeffer in 2003.

Since it was sponsored in part by the Community Foundation for the NRV, Barry attended and afterwards we went out for pizza at the Cellar."
